1) Pre-placement Talk.
2) Online-Test (Aptitude+Technical)
3) GD.
4) Technical Interview.
5) HR interview.

Lets talk about Online Test.

First you have to register & they will verify your identity form (PAN card/Driving License/PAssport/College ID). Then to appear the test you need to login by providing the login credentials (that you would have given during registration).

There were 3 sections

* Aptitude 30 questions (30 minutes)
* C 20questions(20 minutes)
* SQL 10 questions (10 minutes)

There will be many sets of questions & you can't find same questions from your near & dear ones. I repeat there will be no repeation of questions.

At a time you can only attempt single section, & once you have started doing any section you need to finish that first, that means you cannot switch between sections.

The sectional time I'd mentioned above wont be carry forward to the next section. At a time only one question will be visible on your screen, check the correct answer, save & click next. Ofcourse you can change your answer later (if you need to do so).

The good news is questions are not that much tough you are expecting.

Aptitude questions basically from: Time, distance, age, percentage, train, boat & 3-4 questions from english too.

Fundamental of C & SQL.

Finally if you donot submit your paper befor clock goes to 0:0 it will be auto submit. & very soon result will be declared. So don't roam here & there.

2nd Round: GD
They had given us topic on "Facebook(Pros & cons)" & "Media in India misutilizing their freedom".

So to get selected you must have the knowledge how to crack GD.

3rd Round: Technical
This may go tough. They will ask what ever they want. I will suggest you Pointer, & Control blocks. They may also ask you to write some code.

4th Round: HR

It will be easy. but be alert, in this round they will check your communication skill. And finally from my college they had selected only 6 guys & I was one of them.

2] 13  December  2010 , Priyadarshing College of Eng, Nagpur

Pre-placement talk was started at 11 in the morning which gave us a raw detail of the whole procedure to take place. The recruitment process included four phases:

1. Online test
2. Group Discussion
3. Technical interview
4. HR interview

1. Online test was having three sections:
a. Aptitude test (30 ques.)
b. C language (20 ques.)
c.  SQL (10 ques.)

Difficulty level was medium. We can easily crack any apti if we know how to manage our time. So try to solve the questions as much as you can. Suppose there are 30 questions in 30 minutes. Go for solving the questions up to 28 minutes and keep 2 minutes for tukka(choosing answer without having any idea) if there is no negative marking. If you solve 15 questions correctly in those 28 minutes with added benefit of tukka session, you get more than 50% marks. Do the same for all  sections and I am 100% sure you would clear the apti round.

In GD round, we had the topic "Is India a developing country or an emerging market". You can do inception if you have sound knowledge of the proposed topic. If not, listen to others, think upon the same and give your opinion. Do not  interfere others or you will loose some points. Do not cut others points rather appreciate them. Adding a new idea would earn a point for you. GD is not a quarrel. It is a place where we put our opinion and ideas. So try to keep your body language like a professional  because there would be someone watching your activity.

Technical interview was a bit difficult. However the technical interviewer was calm and decent. He asked me various questions from c, c++, network security, java and DBMS. There were some reasoning from c pointer. I tried my best to reply. The key to crack this round is that do not hesitate if you do not know the answer. Accept it and tell him you can do it if given some time.

The last but not least HR round is also very important round. It observes the way you express anything, your behavior and body language. So if you have not much fluency in English, try to speak slowly and accurately. The HR was a young man of about 28-30. The first question I was asked was: Suppose you are taking my interview,  what would be your questions from me? Be prepared for this type of questions also.

I cleared all the rounds but still the result was doubtful. Final result came at 7:30 in the evening. Finding my name in the list I was overjoyed. 10 students were selected out of 210.

What I experienced:
Where luck is doubtful, labour is sure.
We should not loose our hope because there is something special for us.

Failure teaches us the way to get success.

Aptitude test was conducted in different computer labs, parallel sessions were held between 11:30am to 1:30pm.
General aptitude test was bit tough compared to C and SQL test. It consisted of 5 times and work questions 5 logical questions 5 ratio and proportion questions 2-3 profit loss questions 2-3 percentage questions and 5 fill in the blank types and 5 logical reasoning questions.

C and SQL technical test was easy and based on the basics.

Students were allowed to take break between 3 sections of aptitude test and there were neither sectional cut-off nor negative marking. 150 students were short-listed after aptitude test and names were announced in the auditorium at 2 pm.

Group discussion started around 3:30 pm, my turn came around 5 pm. Madam asked us for suggestion of topic, everyone was given chance to speak. Topic for our group was effect of cinema on youth of nation.
My performance in GD was rocking I gave example of RDB influence on Jesica Lal Murder Case and told about example from my personal life, how I personally got inspired after watching the movie The Social Network which is based on founder of Facebook., after that I concluded the session very well.
4 students were selected from my group and were told about the selection there itself.
My technical interview began around 7:30 pm and lasted for an hour.

I was able to answer questions based on basics of C but was unable to answer perfectly some difficult questions but was selected luckily because of good knowledge of basic concepts, communication skills, personality, confidence etc and was told about selection at the end of HR interview.

5] 3  January  2011 , Pimpri Chinchwasd College Of Eng, Pune, Shilpi

Zensar conducted a pool placement at Pimpri chinchwad college of Engineering, Pune on 3rd January, 2010.
Out of 10 participating colleges, there were 400 students who took the test, 63 were shortlisted and finally 30 were selected.

There was an online test of 60 mins which had the following sections.

1) General aptitude (consisting of english, Quantitative and reasoning) 30 questions for 30 mins
2) C and SQL technical section for 20 mins and 10 mins respectively.

The general aptitude section was comparatively easy. Please do the last 5 years papers of this company. It helps a lot. Do english and verbal and non verbal reasoning a lot, because the quantitative section was quite easy. You should have basic mathematics formulae by-heart and you should be good in English. C and Sql sections consisted of questions on pointers, database related questions, foreign key, primary key etc.

They took 1 hour to get the results out and 63 students were shortlisted in this round.

The second round was Group discussion. We were made into a batch of 15 students each. The topics can be socio-political or completely dependent on the current news.

My topic was "India's obsession with cricket is driving out all the other sports in the country". Please remember:

GD does not mean that you will shout and keep talking. Speak less, to the point, ineract with everybody, give everyone a fair chance to speak, and give valid points, if you do not agree with someone challenge that point and give justification for it.

The results were announced at 5.30 pm and I was selected along with few of my friends. The technical round started at 6.30 pm.

They asked me my most proficient language. I said C.

Sir: What is C? what exactly do you mean by C?
Me: C is a middle level language.

Sir (interrupting): What is a middle level language?
Me: Explained.
Sir: What are pointers? Advantages of pointers?
* What is struct? What is the difference between stack and queue?
* Write me a data structure for queue.
* What is data structure?What is heap?
* What is binary tree?
* Write me a program for swapping 2 numbers using 2 variables only.
* Write me a program for printing 2 numbers after multiplication.
* Write me a program for a prime number
* What is tower of Hanoi?

Then he switched to SQL.

1) What is foreign key and primary key?

2) Explain with example. Draw 2 tables of student and College and show the relationship between them.

3) What is the difference between DBMS and RDBMS?

4) Explain joins. What are the types of joins? Explain natural join and semi join.

These are the only ones I can recall. My technical interview went on for 45 mins.

Please remember: If you do not know the answer to something, say Im sorry Sir I cannot recall it right now.
Be honest.

The HR round was of 15 mins.

Basic questions were asked.

1) Tell me about yourself (advertise yourself as much as you can)
2) Why Zensar?
3) What is your weakness?
4) What are your hobbies?
5) Why do you think we should hire you?
6) Do you have any questions?

Note: Please ask questions. Prepare something beforehand if you want. Watch and listen to their pre placement talk very carefully. They can ask questions on that.

Finally at 10.45 pm, we heard our results. I, along with 10 of my friends were selected.

Be confident and smart, dress well and be polite. That is the key for cracking the HR related rounds.

6] 14  December  2010 , GHIIRT, Nagpur, : Vikrant

On 14th December, 2010 Zensar came for campus recruitment in Nagpur at GHIIRT. It was a pooled campus and only CS, IT, and MCA students of 9 colleges were invited. In that my college GNIET is also there.

Roughly there were 500-600 students came for pooled campus for 2011 batch. And criteria was minimum 60% in 10th, 12th and minimum 55% in BE. Package was 3.2lk per annum.

The selection Procedure was as follows:

1) Pre-placement Talk.
2) Online-Test (Aptitude+Technical)
3) GD.
4) Technical Interview.
5) HR interview.

We all told to be on time sharp at 8.30 am for registration. But as our IST I reached at 9 am, but still PPT wssn't started (I think they were waiting for me) then about 9.30 they started giving presentation. After that they told us to go Batch wise for Online Test.

Note: This is the 1st time they are having online test in selection procedure.

Online test consist of 3 sections.

a) Aptitude section: Consists of problems of  Dist-time, Trains, Ages, Ratio-Proportion, Coding-decoding, etc. It was quite tough. (30 questions.)
b) C Language:  All questions, were of O/P type you should have the thorough basic knowledge of C. (20 questions.)
c) SQL:  It was very simple. Simple SQL concepts are necessary. (10 questions)
There were no negative marking neither sectional cut-off.
Total 120 students cleared the Online test. Thanks to god as my name was there in the list.

After that they gave us 30 mins break for lunch and then they called the shortlisted students for GD, that too batch-wise, there were 10 batches of 12 students each and Group Discussion round was very simple, Just you should have confidence and Good communication Thats it. Topic were easy.

Eg. Is younger generation is smarter than there parents, Adv. of co-education, sex education is necessary for high school students? etc.

Total 78 students cleared the GD round (I was one of them). They were shortlisting students immediately after GD. Then on the next day 15th December. They called the shortlisted students for technical and HR interviews.

Technical interview was very drilling they are asking basic as well as advanced concepts of C, C++, SQL and sometimes Java.
My technical interview last for almost 50 mins. Friends be strong at your technical skills, they can ask me questions from C, C++, SQL.

After such drilling technical round only 38 students able to clear the round.
Now comes the HR round. HR round was very usual and as same as normal HR interviews. They were asking simple questions such as

* Tell me about Your -self?
* Why should I hire You?
* What are your strengths and weakness?
* Do you think that you are fit for Zensar? etc.

Just be confident and have Good command on english, most of the good students are eliminated due to poor English. They want good communication skills.

The whole interview process last whole day upto late night. After that they told us that final results will be announced tomorrow means on 16th in afternoon. After a long waiting for about 12 hours. They announced and displayed the list of selected students. After looking at the list I got very happy.

I was selected in Zensar. I'm Zensarian now. But the same time I got shocked as only 26 students were selected from 38 students in HR interviews. So friends don't relax on HR interview also. Give your best every time. So thats all about new selection process of Zensar.

So prepare well and be confident. You will get success.

If you are going for ZenSar, lemme tell you. You just need to children. Anyone with just a basic knowledge of 10th level maths and average english skills will surely make it to ZenSar.
The new pattern has got 4 rounds of selection:
1) General Aptitude Test:
It has 4 sections but we were told to attempt only three as 4th section was technical with C and C++ questions and it was an open campus for all trades,that's why.
(a)General English: with sentence completion,Synonyms,matching relation type questions with 1 comprehension(a bit different) and yes most important "English section was qualifying" means if u do not clear this section ur paper will not be evaluated.
(b)Mathematics: simple problems overarea, volume, probability, profit-loss, Simple Interest and all.just refer R.S.Agrawal or Abhijit Guha..that will be more than enuf.
(c)Logical: Data interpretation type problems.I guess it needs no practice. You gotta do it on the spot. just need presence of mind.
2)Group Discussion: There were batches with 10 students each after elimination from  Aptitude.
topics were like: Are women better manager than men, recession, population etc
(if u clear this u are almost done,start partying :D)
3)Technical Interview: Guys from different departments were tested in their fields. Was not much tough. basic knowledge will clear it easily
4) Personal Interview: just be confident with everything in your CV. the interviewer just scanned  CV and questioned over that only. Do have sound knowledge about your hobbies.Rest will be cool.
5) Wait for the Result: D

11] 27  January  2011 , Acropolis(o campus)Indore, Sakshi Nagar

Written Test:
60 ques in 60 minutes and were divided in following manner:
1.)30 ques aptitude in 30 in.
2.)20 ques opn C n DS n C++ in 20 min
3.)10 ques SQL in 10 min.

There was shortage of time experienced in apti section.In C part max ques were to predict o/p.One should have thorogh reding of Kanetkar.Aptitude ques had time,distance,percentage,profit n loss.Also from verbal they had given some jumbled sentences and v were suppose to arrange them and select apprpriate option.RS Aggrawal is enough for quanta.But speed has to be maintained…………..
 GD:
There were 13 students in our grp,out of which 4were selected.
Topic was “Are men better manager then Women”.10 min were given.Prior only instructions were given that if fish mrkt is created,full grp will be disqualified.Frnds GD needs a good command on language,statistics,and strong n non repeated points.
Technical Interview:
They asked abt my project which impressed them at xtreme.Then a program of call by value n call by refrence.
My intrvw was of  about 15 min.Frnds the biggest strange thng happened with me was,after technical I was not called for HR and one of the volunteers told me that e1 my HR is Over.

Actually thng is selected me on the basis of Technical itself.They altogether selected 24 students out of which 23 students gave HR n 24th was me who was not called for HR.
I feel reason behind thi was,that I gave my technical with full confidence having command over my language.

12] 11th March 2007 Nagarajan A

I] Aptitude Test of 80 minutes duration. It has four sections – English, Quantitative, Verbal reasoning & Technical section which contained only C & C++.

Each section consists of 22Questions.In all there was 88 questions in my paper where as other sets had between 80 to 90. There was no negative marking .There was an sectional cut-off but there were sectional time limits of 20 minutes each. U r only allowed moving on to the next section only when the time of a section was up.

II] There was a separate technical and HR rounds.

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:
On the next day they gave a detailed PPT before the start of the interview process. They also give u a form to fill up. U also need to bring 2 copies of ur CV and 2 photocopies of your own as they’ll take one copy of the CV(with your photo) along with the form.The duration of interviews ranged from 15 to as much as 45 minutes.

I was the last the person to attended the interview.In the Technical interview I was asked about the following questions:

 * Tell about your favourite subjects?
 * why did you chhose your favourite subject as DigitalLogicCircuits?
 * Draw the EX-OR Gate using NAND Logic(NAND gate) and explin it with the truth table?
 * what is Transistor?
 * what is PNP Transistor?
 * what is Triode?
 * What is the difference between Stack and Queue?
 * Explain about the Binary traversals?
 * What is Inorder,Preorder,Postorder?
 * Explin about the Software development Cycle?
 * What is a register? What is the use of it?
HR INTERVIEW:
(In the HR Interview they were very friendly and also they expect the frank answer from the candidates whom attended the process).In the HR I was asked about the following questions:

 * firstly i was asked to tell about my family?
 * what do you like most in your Institution?
 * what you don't like most in your Institution?
 * what would you like like to change in your Institution?
 * Why did you choosen career in EEE?
 * Where would you be after 10yrs.?
 * Would you like to grow in the Proffesional line?
 * what are all the changes that you had observed in your Institution?
 * How about the interview process?
 * How do you feel about written test?
 * do you have any Questions to ask me?

Finally they announced the results one day after the process was over. They selected 9 candidates. I was selected as was 9 others from my batch. We were really happy for each other.

SUGGESTION:
Don't be tensed while attending the interview.Because they were very friendly with you guys.also be confident on your self.Answer as many questions as possible in the technical session with practical examples.
The aptitude round was act as a high elimination roundfor us.The Technical section consists mostly of DBMS questions with few c and c++ questions.The analytical section consists of very simple mathematical prooblems relating with average,missing nos,etc...but they had given five sets of question papers( booklet )one for each candidate.the verbal section was also easy containing some Anagram,Fill in the blanks with appropriate words,one simple comprehension.(No need to prepare separately for verbal section).but the logical section is some what tougher than verbal section.the time management should bo very important to answer atleast 85% of the questions.It is not possible to answer correctly for all the questions,it is just enough if you answer the questions correctly of what you are doing with the help of rough sheets and using your knowledge.But there will be a sectional cutoff marks.
Prepare well & u can surely become a “ZENSARian”!

21] 15th January, 2011 ,ITER, Bhubaneswar, Sudhanshu Sahoo

1) Pre-placement Talk.
2) Online-Test (Aptitude+Technical)
3) GD.
4) Technical Interview.
5) HR interview.

First you have to register & they will verify your identity form (PAN card/Driving License/PAssport/College ID). Then to appear the test you need to login by providing the login credentials (that you would have given during registration).

* Aptitude 30 questions (30 minutes)
* C 20questions(20 minutes)
* SQL 10 questions (10 minutes)

22] 13th December, 2010, St. Vincent Engg College, Nagpur, Uday Gupta

From the day when I joined my college I had the dream to start my carrier with a growing company where I could get an opportunity to utilize my abilities & skills.

First the PPT i.e Pre Placement talk took place in that they told us about there selection criteria, about Zensar and ofcourse the most important thing the package they are offering us.

The selection procedure consists of 4 rounds

1) Written test
2) GD
3) Technical Interview
4) HR Interview

The written test comprised of three sections

1) English + Quantitative + Logical reasoning (30 questions)
2) Technical (C & C++) (20 questions)
3) SQL + DBMS (10 questions)

The test was very tough and maximum elimination is done in this round only. It was online test and there was sectional timing i.e we need to finish the section in the given time.

Amongst the above sections only english and quantitative questions were easy others were tough. For general English consult (barren). For quantitative aptitude consult (R.S. Aggarwal) and for technical (prepare o/p questions)

Total of 300 students appeared approximatly and 160 cleared the written test and shortlisted for the GD. I was one of them I'd given the test at 2:30 and the result were announced at 5 pm.
Group Discussion:

Later we were send to a room for GD. GD was conducted among the group of 15 candidates. We were first asked to decide a topic ourself. Later she(HR) herself suggested a topic "Younger generation are more smarter than their parents".

The topic was easy and most of the people spoke on it. HR gave chance to each candidate who was not able to speak. Result declared after 45 mins I was in the list of those 11 people from our group. Actually my group consist of top 15 scorer of aptitude. Hence they selected 11 out of 15 in GD.

This was the highest from any group from most of the other group they selected 4-5 out of 15 in each group. So score good in aptitude.
I was very happy because I was for the first time gonna face technical interview. From 160 candidates they selected 75 for TI.

Technical Interview:

TI was on the next day ie 15th December at 9:00am. My TI started at 12:00 noon.
The interviewer was very decent but serious guy.

* Tell me about yourself
* Told.

* Explain about paper presentation you had given
* Explained (actually I'd won prize in PPT and told this in my intro)

* What is security (as my ppt topic was 'SECURITY IN Wi-Fi')
* What are the threats to security?

* What you will do to provide security?
* Which are the most important areas reqiring security?

* What you have prerared?
* I told C and SQL

* What is array
* How will you declare and initailize 2D and 3D array?

* Write a prog to print "HELLO WORLD" without using semicolon.
* Write a prog to swap two nos without using 3rd variable.

* Explain pointers? where it is used?
* How memory is initilised in ptr?

* He shown me 4-5 C- prog to tell output.
* Different between call-by-val and call-by-add?

* Write any one prog using both call-by-val and call-by-add.
* What is DBMS?

* What is SQL?
* He had different table and asked me to write 8-10 queries?

* Altough he asked quite tough queries which reqire comb of 4-5 tables. I answered all as I had good prep of SQL.

* What is Normalization.
* What is 1NF,2NF,BCNF etc.

* I told him it was in 3rd yr and I cant recall it now.
* Difference between multiprogramming and multitasking?

I gave answer of most of the questions and major thing was my confidence. I never felt this is 1st interview of my life. If you dont know any answer simply say you can't recall but don't cheat them, they are very smart.

This round last for  around 40 -45 mins.

I came out of the room and volunteer told me in just a min that I got passed the TI and, now came the time for the HR interview:
Out of 75 only 40 cleared TI.

HR Interview:
Normal Questions:

* Why Zensar?
* What are your strengths?

* Why should I select you?
* Two good and bad things about your college?

* If I give you one million rupees what will be the 1st thing you do?
* About family?

* Example where you worked in grp?
* What extra curricular you been part of?

My HR interview was excellent but still I was very eager to see the result but result declared after 3 days.
Only 30 candidates was finally selected and I was one of them. Now its the time for Party.

Finally I will say, if you are not selected don’t worry because  “after every sad day there comes the glad day”.

Before Zensar I appered for Persistent and Patni. But my destiny was somewhere else and finally I found it.

26] 8  August  2006 , Techno India College, Kolkata, Debabrata Biswas
MCA of Siliguri Institute of Technology of 2007
          I] Aptitude Test of 80 minutes duration. It has four sections – English, Quantitative, Verbal reasoning & Technical section which contained only C & C++.
Number of questions in each section ranged between 20-25.In all there was 86 questions in my paper where as other sets had between 80 to 90. There was no negative marking .There was no sectional cut-off but there were sectional time limits of 20 minutes each. U r only allowed moving on to the next section only when the time of a section was up.
          II] Technical & HR interview. For some there were separate interviews others had it one. There were two member panels.

APTITUDE TEST:
          In the English section there were standard GRE type questions i.e. Synonyms [“Words which mean closest to the following”], Antonyms which had words like lucid,
Sumptuous, censure etc. There were also analogy questions [“which of the following best illustrates a relationship similar to the given relation”]. This part had questions like carpenter: saw then what:?. There was also passage of about 200 word length on African & European arts which contained some tough sentences. Each of the above types had 4-5 questions. Anyone who is acquainted with GRE Baron’s will be able to do most of the questions.
          Next section was Quantitative. This was the easiest section. Most of the questions were from RS Agarwal book. Anyone who has practiced that book can easily do 17-18 of 22 odd questions.
          Then there was easily the toughest section in reasoning. This is mainly bcoz the questions were lengthy & it was difficult to do in 20 minutes. It had data interpretation from bar charts, puzzle. It also had arrangement problem with certain conditions given. It was like among P, Q, R & S, T, U only Q & S can drive. They were going by a car in which people sat in two rows. No group member sits beside member of same group. There were certain other conditions given & situations based on which u had to find sitting arrangements. Then there was a question on order of events - In a certain refresher course 6 subjects r taught. There were conditions given & u had to find order in which the subjects were taught. RS Agarwal verbal reasoning book needs to be practiced well for this section.
          The last section was Technical. It mainly had small but tricky pieces of code given in C & C++ & u had to predict the output. This was mainly there to check the logical concepts. Most of it u’ll find on books like “test ur C skills” & “exploring C” by kanetkar.
          The cut-off marks were not announced. But as sectional cut-off was not there, the feeling one got was that a score of around 50-55 [out of 86] will clinch it for u. From 350+ aspirants from 8 colleges they selected 40 for the interview in the next day. I was among those selected.

INTERVIEW:
          On the next day they gave a detailed PPT before the start of the interview process. They also give u a form to fill up. U also need to bring 2 copies of ur CV as they’ll take one copy of the CV along with the form. All candidates were given call numbers. Those with odd call numbers faced one panel & the evens faced the other panel. The duration of interviews ranged from 15 to as much as 45 minutes.
          In the interview Firstly I was asked about how my test was. Later I got to know that many were asked this innocuous looking but potentially dangerous question first up. I suggest however good ur test may be, be a little reserved on this. Then they thoroughly grilled on C & C++. Questions on c ranged from operators, to maximum size of arrays, linking of header files, compilation, assembler, pre-processor, the file inclusion, whether one can build a header file etc. in C++ they asked about OO concepts, encapsulation, abstraction, virtual functions & how they work, polymorphism, inheritance. In DBMS I was asked to name some commercial DBMS packages & whether MS Access was one. Also what normalization was & how it was done. Also what client server architecture was & to give a real life example of it. In DS I was asked about what queue how it worked & whether one could have a LIFO queue. Also what r single & double linked lists.
          In the HR Interview they first of all they told me that “I am giving u two minutes to sell urself to us”. Thereafter they asked about me, my hobbies. They also asked what other campus processes I had attended & what had happened in them. Finally they asked whether I had any questions & I asked two questions.
          Finally they announced the results half an hour after the process was over. They selected 21 candidates. I was selected as was 5 others from my batch. We were really happy for each other.

27] 3 MARCH,2008,  NIBU

I  want to start with a quote that I always try to follow in my life that , “ If the victory is certain then even a coward can win but the real brave are those who dare to fight even if they know that there defeat is fixed  “.
From the day when I joined my college I had the dream to start my carrier with a growing company where I could get an opportunity to utilize my abilities & skills .
This dream seems to be come true when Zensar technologies visited our campus , it was 3rd of March , 2008 , stage was well set , show was just to begin.
Four people were came from Zensar for the recruitment and now it’s the time. For the PPT i.e Pre Placement talk …in that they have told us about there selection criteria , about Zensar and of course the most important thing the package they are offering us .
They were very strict about there eligibility criteria , and the eligibility criteria was all though 60% , few of our friends are only 1 or 2 marks short of first division in 10th standard but its really mysterious they don’t even allowed them to sit just for the one odd mark .
There Selection procedure is normal as other companies , we have to under go 3 stages :
1) Aptitude Test
2) Technical Interview
3) Hr Interview
We all were ready for the Aptitude Test and I was really feeling embrace for few of fine friend who were very intelligent but couldn’t make it just because of the eligibility criteria .
Aptitude Test begins : (there was no negative marking but there is the sectional cut off of 50%)
The test was divide in to 4 categories and each of them contains 20 question and 20 min. are provided for each section , and we were forced to solve a section for 20  min. only and once the 20 mins are over then only we can jump to the next section .
First section was the English section , for me it is the toughest hurdle coz I had prepared the articles ,prepositions ,tenses ,synonyms and antonyms but the pattern of the test was totally different , there was a complete sentence in which a fragment is underlined and we have to replace that fragment with the given options , and it was a real hack when I tried out options one by one every one is perfectly fine. I was really confused(  dimag ki ghanti baj gai thi yaar kuch bhi nahi samjh me aa raha tha , jitne experiments kar sakta tha kar liye but kuch bhi nahi hua ab to lag raha tha ki bhagawan hi malik hai ) and the next five question were like
Prem Chandra was a _______ poet , he has written several ______ with his title and  still lots of them _______.
In these question I shooted lots of arrows ( I hope some of them might  hit the target )
Next 5 question were like  Heat: temperature::  _______:_______ I m sure that I haven’t answered more then 2 correctly .
And the last five question were based on a passage ( I say to me that ,”yaar  agar English ki sectional cut off cross karma hai to kuch bhikar ke ye sare question thik karne hi padenge” ) I read the passage twice and I m sure that I must have answered all the question right .
Two mins were still there , I tried to keep myself calm but I was really frustrated .

Next section was Maths no problem for me at all ..I was quite frustrated coz of mine English section that’s why I was even unable to remember the table of  18 in one of question I have to find 18 * 9 nothing came in to mind at that time every thing was like ??????? then I done 180-18 to calculate it again was even unable to subtract I said oh god …what is  happening today . Then after a min I regained my senses and I have done 16 question 100% correct in just 10 or 11 odd mins. Question were very simple like
1)A can do a work in 31 days and B can do the same work in 8 days  ,A alone started the work after few  days he was joined by B , and the work completed in 10 days . After how many days A is been joined by B.
2)In an election between 2 candidate one have got 53% votes and won by 1057 votes , how many votes were there ?
3)A spent 3589 Rs. In first four months and 5216 Rs. In next eight months , if he saves 2368 Rs per month then what is his salary ?
4)A man sells a bike and a cow in 14000 Rs. , by selling his bike he loses 20% and gained 20% in selling his cow , if the total profit was 200 Rs. Then what was the cost price of cow?
5)Two no. are in 2:3 ratio if the three fifth of the first number is added to two third of the second no then the new ratio will be ?
6)The cp a ltrs of milk is 12 rs , a milk man purchases 20lts of milk and wants to earn 200Rs. in the transaction if he sells 20 ltrs of milk then how much water will be the sp of a ltr milk….(too simple its not allegation)
And simple problem on ages, allegation , time and distance etc.
Next Section was reasoning is was avg. not too easy not too tough , an average person can do almost 65% of the question and rest of the question were quite tough ,question were like ,
A, B, C, D, and E were 3 guys and 2 girls , each one have the b'day in  Jan, Feb,…may;
Each one of them like sweets, ice cream….etc.

Note : verbal as well as non verbal reasoning was there .( don’t worry it was easy )

Now It’s the time for the Technical Section which was the last section of the paper  :
Most of the question were based on the C output and rest of the question were from networking , Computer Architecture , Operating System. Question were like:

1)which is the fastest : FTP ,TELNET ,TCP, etc.

2)output:
 main(){
  int x=20 ,y=35;
  x= x++ + y++;
  y = ++x + ++y;
  printf(“%d %d”,x,y);
  }

3)char *p[]=”rachit and devender”;
  printf(“%C”,++(p[4]));

4)const char *p[]=”abhishek and Ankur”;
    char k=’a’;
    p[1]=k;
    printf(“%s”,p);

5)main(){
   extern int i;
   i=5;
  printf(“%d”,i);
  }

6) main(){

   int i,j=2;
   if(i%j !=0)
   j=5;
   printf(“%d”,j);
   }
 For what values if i the output will be 5 : options 1)when i is even  2) odd 3)prime 4) fro all
7)complexity of merge sort .?

8)which sorting also will use to sort {1,2,3,4,5} ?

9)which cpu register holds the address of next instruction?

10)Main(){
     Char *p[]=”pradeep mani”;
     Printf(“%c%c%c%c”,p[i],i[p],(*p+1),*(p+1));
     }

11)  select * from dual ; output..??

12)  we cant typedef  (i) pointers (ii) function (iii) double (iv) I and II both
above are some of the question which are been asked in the 4th section of the Aptitude test.

Now they asked us to wait for 30 mins, it was really a tough time our heart was beating at full speed  ..30 mins seems to be 30 years ,
Now the result is been declared …
A person came and said that only 5 people are selected every one of us were astonished ,we were assuming that at least 15 people will crack this Aptitude   but that was really strange , but Mine name was there , but I really feel bad for all those my friends who were unable to cross this barrier They have gave us a form to fill up , it’s a general details entry form , they take our CVs and ask us for reporting them with in 15 Mins.
It was really tough hurdle coz Zensar mainly focuses on the technical round but I was well prepared for this round coz I may not be totally perfect , but parts of me are excellent .
Now the battle of questions and answer started .
We were in our college at 9:00 am and now it was around 2:30 pm I was the second person to go for the technical round ,
They asked me have to taken your lunch I said,” no , I don’t even had my break fast “, then they ask me are you hungry I have some snacks with me I said , “ no thanks, I m just hungry for the job “.
Then they started bombarding questions,

1) what is pointer to a function ..
2) Explain the working of pointer to a function
3) Difference between char const *p , const char *p ,const * char p, const char * const p
4) What Is FILE *fp
5)  a program to print a file from the last .

6) Write a program to encrypt the file
7) What is abstraction
8) What is run time polymorphism
9) What is register storage class? If  a variable is declared as register then is it compulsory that it will be of storage type register?
10) What is interface in java ?
11) What is implementation ?
12) Why java doesn’t support multiple inheritance ?
13) Is c++ is pure object oriented?

I was thinking that ,”yaar kintne question poochenge ye log , voh poochte ja rahe the aur main batataja raha tha “,there were lots of other question..
This round last for  around 50 -55 mins . and HR round was also attached to this because we were only 5 people selected out there  , now came the time for the HR interview
Normal Questions:

1)Describe Yourself as a person ?(she said I don’t want u to repeat the resume , something which in not mentioned in that)

2)Say something about dream ..i said ,”Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”

3)Which is your dream company ? I said that , “ I m telling u the truth , my dream company is Google” , then she asked my why Google , I was well prepared for that question I said , “ God is with them who have the courage to fly , not with them who stand on the ground and watch the sky “ ,then wla wla wla….

28] ZENSAR PAPER ON 3RD MARCH, 2008

Question were very simple like
1) A can do a work in 31 days and B can do the same work in 8 days ,A alone started the work after few days he was joined by B , and the work completed in 10 days . After how many days A is been joined by B.
2) In an election between 2 candidate one have got 53% votes and won by 1057 votes , how many votes were there ?
3) A spent 3589 Rs. In first four months and 5216 Rs. In next eight months , if he saves 2368 Rs per month then what is his salary ?
4) A man sells a bike and a cow in 14000 Rs. , by selling his bike he loses 20% and gained 20% in selling his cow , if the total profit was 200 Rs. Then what was the cost price of cow?
5) Two no. are in 2:3 ratio if the three fifth of the first number is added to two third of the second no then the new ratio will be ?
6) The cp a ltrs of milk is 12 rs , a milk man purchases 20lts of milk and wants to earn 200Rs. in the transaction if he sells 20 ltrs of milk then how much water will be the sp of a ltr milk….(too simple its not allegation)
And simple problem on ages, allegation , time and distance etc.

Next Section was reasoning is was avg. not too easy not too tough , an average person can do almost 65% of the question and rest of the question were quite tough ,question were like ,

A, B, C, D, and E were 3 guys and 2 girls , each one have the b'day in Jan, Feb,…may;
Each one of them like sweets, ice cream….etc.

2)output:
main(){
int x=20 ,y=35;
x= x++ + y++;
y = ++x + ++y;
printf(“%d %d”,x,y);
}
3)char *p[]=”rachit and devender”;
printf(“%C”,++(p[4]));
4)const char *p[]=”abhishek and Ankur”;
char k=’a’;
p[1]=k;
printf(“%s”,p);
5)main(){
extern int i;
i=5;
printf(“%d”,i);
}
6) main(){
int i,j=2;
if(i%j !=0)
j=5;
printf(“%d”,j);
}

For what values if i the output will be 5 : options 1)when i is even 2) odd 3)prime 4) fro all

7)complexity of merge sort .?
8)which sorting also will use to sort {1,2,3,4,5} ?
9)which cpu register holds the address of next instruction?
10)Main(){
Char *p[]=”pradeep mani”;
Printf(“%c%c%c%c”,p[i],i[p],(*p+1),*(p+1));
}
11) select * from dual ; output..??
12) we cant typedef (i) pointers (ii) function (iii) double (iv) I and II both

above are some of the question which are been asked in the 4th section of the Aptitude test

Then they started bombarding questions,
1)what is pointer to a function ..
2)Explain the working of pointer to a function
3)Difference between char const *p , const char *p ,const * char p, const char * const p
4)What Is FILE *fp
5)Write a program to print a file from the last .
6)Write a program to encrypt the file
7)What is abstraction
8)What is run time polymorphism

13)Is c++ is pure object oriented?
14)Why we need new operator in java at the time of object declaration and why not in c++?
15)Write a program to implement virtual functions .
16)What is the difference between file and data base storage ?

33)IEEE?
34)Heap Sort , Merge Sort ?
35)Hashing Technique ?

I was thinking that ,”yaar kintne question poochenge ye log , voh poochte ja rahe the aur main batataja raha tha “,there were lots of other question..

This round last for around 50 -55 mins . and HR round was also attached to this because we were only 5 people selected out there , now came the time for the HR interview :

Normal Questions:
1)Describe Yourself as a person ?(she said I don’t want u to repeat the resume , something which in not mentioned in that)
2)Say something about dream ..i said ,”Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”
3)Which is your dream company ? I said that , “ I m telling u the truth , my dream company is Google” , then she asked my why Google , I was well prepared for that question I said , “ God is with them who have the courage to fly , not with them who stand on the ground and watch the sky “ ,then wla wla wla….
4)Then why zensar ? “One of the greatest victories you can gain over someone is to beat him at politeness “ , that’s what I have done at done time 5)Where do you see yourself after 5 years ?
6)Say something on ,” when you are in Rome do what Romans do
And that’s it , finally me and three friends of mine were selected in the ZENSAR .
At last I want to say that ,

“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”

So if you are not selected don’t worry coz “after every sad day there comes the glad day”

30] 8th AUGUST 2006 AT TECHNO INDIA COLLEGE, KOLKATA

Hi Everyone,
I am Debabrata Biswas, a student of MCA of Siliguri Institute of Technology of 2007 pass-out batch. Zensar Technologies came for campus selection process for MCA’s only at the Techno India College on August 8 & 9, 2006. Their recruitment process has the following stages:

31] 12 April 2007, kiit university

Hi, i m manish kumar. Zensar visited our college campus on 12/04/2007 and i m lucky to get through it. the selection procedure consist of 4 rounds.

1.written(apti+eng+tech)
2.technical written
3.tech interview
4.hr interview

Written exam was not that tough. it is easy to clear if one is clear with basic things. the tech written in first round is a bit tough a btech person will definitely get nervouse.
Then in the second round only tech exam was conducted. it consisted of 20 question and 20 mins. it is also a bit tough for btech guy.
When the result was announced for this round i cant believe that i have cleared it. bcoz the test was real tough.
Then came the interview

Tech interview
Sir: which is the first computer?
Manish: i could not answer it. and say sorry.

Sir: how can u change the booting process?
Manish: by pressing f6.

Sir: what is the configuration of ur laptop?
Manish: answer it perfectly as i m a hardware specialist.

Sir :what is diff betwee c and c++?
Manish: defined it as good as possible. he was quite impressed i thnk.

Sir: what is exception handling?
Manish: answered it with an example. ofcourse in a paper.

Then he came to dbms
Sir: what is normalization? and types?
Manish: defined it very nicely as it was my fav subject. he was impressed by the way i answered. i gave all the types of normalization with examples.

Sir: what is indexing?
Manish: also answered it. but i did not know much abt it.

Sir: types of indexing?
Manish: sorry sir i dont know.

Sir: what is polymorphish?
Manish: described it by real life example. again he impressed and said very good.

At last he asked me do u have any question for me?

I asked two question abt company.
the interview lasted for 30 mins.
results were declared soon and i was thru.
HR interview taken by madam

Mam: have u taken ur lunch as the interview was after lunch?

while answering i used a hindi word and she laughed and i too.

which type of people do u like?
i said extrover
she said why
then a long discussin continues.

at last she gave me an essay to write on offshoring within 5 mins
this interviev was also for 30 mins.
at last she said wait for result. and i thank and came out.
And finally when the result was declared my name was there.

35] 17 March 2007 ,Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur
1. APTITUDE TEST(4 sections, separate cut off)
2. INTERVIEW-
a) technical interview
b) hr interview (1 essay of 5 minutes was also dere)

First of all they conducted aptitude test.aptitude test contains these sectoins.
1. ENGLISH ABILITY .
2. QUANTITIVE APTI.
3. LOGICAL REASONING.
4. TECHNICAL SKILLS.

These sections in paper contains 80 questions and duration was 80 mins.we have to do each section in 20 minutes. We coudnt move to next section before 20 mins. and once a section is completed we coudn't go back.there was sectional cutoff. some of the sample questions which i remember are --

A) English ability. --
Q1. which is suitable combination similar to - pesticide : crop :: antiseptic: ?
a) wound b) clothing c) bandage d) bleeding.

Q2. It is a long time.............i saw my friend who lives...............his parents...........he neighbouring town.
a) when ; at ; of b) since ; with ; in. c) when ; for ; in d) since ; for ; of.
and other questions of selecting suitable words and also 3 questions based on one small passage. it was very easy one and in fact d easiest section was english section only.

B) Quantitive aptitude--
Q1. if ratio of milk and water in one container is 3:5 and in another is 1:2 they mixed togeher then what is ratio of milk and water ?

Q2. dimension of a room is 5*8 meters. room floor is covered by carpet by leaving space 4cm from walls. if carpet is 18rs. per meter then total cost?

Q3. find out d odd one in d series
a)9 b)121 c)361 d)881
answer is d)881 since it is not a perfect square.

it also contains questions related to tabulaion,distance and time, work percentage , profit and loss. R. S. AGGARWAL is more than sufficient.it is time consuming part be fast otherwise u will not be able to attempt all the questions.

C) Logical reasoning --
for me dis section was tough coz it really consumed time n it was not possible to attempt all d questions in mere 20 minutes
